52- THE PODCAST REPAIRMAN – an offering that may help screencasters

In this episode, we deliver an interview with Gary Leland about his new offering of THE PODCAST REPAIRMAN — both from the point of view of the Entrepreneur (i.e., why and how he entered the market of Podcast services), as well as that of the Podcaster.

PodcastRepairmanAs you will hear in this audio episode, Entrepreneur Gary Leland has multiple businesses for which he had built up infrastructure to handle sales via eCommerce, tangible goods, wallpaper, etc.

However, as a podcaster for over 10 years, Gary has also built the infrastructure for creating web sites, creating content, and publishing podcasts and videos for the sports niche and for podcasting itself.

Now Gary has entered into the world of Podcast Services with his services offering of THE PODCAST REPAIRMAN— as well as a related field, that of web site services in development and maintenance.

But Gary is not having the typical large launch of internet marketers. He is delivering the PERSONAL TOUCH and one-on-one service to his customers. He is planning organic growth. How? Mainly referrals and word-of-mouth marketing. In fact, he is not promoting or advertising his Podcast Repairman offering to the masses, as he will deliver excellent quality to his customers.

Although this may defy some conventional wisdom for Entrepreneurs, as well as podcasters and internet marketers, Gary has already started the beginnings of a growing business for those aspiring podcasters who do not want to spend the time and effort to learn or perform the labor-intensive tasks of creating, publishing and delivering podcast shows and podcast episodes.

Gary LelandAnd Gary’s price-point is very competitive for the market he is serving. He can produce a podcast episode per week. So, for an average of 4 episodes per month, he charges to what amounts to $150 per episode — which extremely aggressive, especially with the quality that he will deliver.

Also, Gary is offering to waive the $295 set-up fee for each show if you mention to him the word “Fred.” You can hear this near the end of the interview.

You may contact Gary Leland, the PODCAST REPAIRMAN, at:

– phone:  817-476-0660

– or use any of the Social Media tools at www.lelands.org.

10- Strategies in video scripting for screencasting- Lon Naylor with Joey Xoto

This content is repurposed audio from an earlier webinar in which Lon Naylor (aka “The Learn Camtasia Guy”) interviews Joey Xoto, the marketer of the iPocket Video training programs.

As you will hear in this audio episode, Joey discusses and describes to Lon Naylor a strategy and workflow for creating videos with good scripts as a basic foundation for creating good screencasts that utilize full-motion video or informative or educational video or “talking-head” video..

JoeyXoto script strategies workflow

Please note that this audio was taken from a webinar video recording — which sometimes may not be as high quality as a direct interview by podcasters.

Also — especially as podcasters — please be advised that a VIDEO file is just one of several media elements that go into the making of a good screencast. Others are PowerPoint(R) or other slide presentation products, as well as full-motion video (which is Joey’s expertise), and screen-capture screencasts (e.g., like those from Camtasia Studio) to demonstrate software, web sites or membership sites, etc. There are also qualities and/or visual properties that can be added to or enhanced by features that improve final screencasts, such as callouts, pans, zooms, and other visual properties.

Finally, there is a hint of a new venture coming in which both Joey and Lon will partner to provide “something new” in the area of screencast productions utilizing video.

07- Lon Naylor investigates pre-released Podcasting Platform Audello

In this renewed interest (we call it a “second boom”) of Podcasting, many content creators are acquiring the skills to leverage their portfolios and include podcasts into their mix.

Lon Naylor, who is known as “The Learn Camtasia Guy”, and who also has key web sites of ScreencastStudios.com and ScreencastProfits.com,  is also pursuing a direction to teach the screencast community about podcasting — especially with what appears to be an exciting platform to make podcasting simple and easy (although it is still in pre-release stage at the time of this post). The platform is Audello, and it is discussed and demonstrated (as much as can be) by Lon in this video clip that is being repurposed from his premium Learn Camtasia weekly coaching call program. For more information and to see the video clip, you can go to the links given, below.

Lon Naylor- mobile video strategies for screencastersAs you will hear in this 12-minute podcast episode, the AUDIO to the video clip is included, which has Lon discussing the SKILLS IN SCREENCASTS AND PODCASTS podcast and program with Fred Castaneda (the host of The Struggling Entrepreneur and Podcast Reporter audio podcasts). The audio episode also highlights how you can understand the importance and excitement of this new platform, especially if you are a screencaster.
