09- Podcast success strategies for monetization – interview by Doug Foresta of Coachzing.com

Podcasting strategies for success and monetization are important to the screencaster and podcaster who improve the portfolio of skills and abilities to provide valuable content creation for clients.

The CoachZing Show is a podcast show series, available on iTunes(R) and other directories, which delivers interviews with entrepreneurs, coaches, therapists, authors and speakers — to discover tips and techniques for effective content creation and marketing. It is available on iTunes and other directories, and it is a free podcast show.

Doug Foresta is the interviewer and host of this podcast show.

In this episode, we have a repurposed interview — as it is originally published by CoachZing.com. The reason why we deliver it in entirety and unedited as the final mp3 file published by CoachZing is that the person being interviewed is Fred Castaneda, who is also one of the co-hosts of Skills in Screencasts and Podcasts, as well as the single host of The Struggling Entrepreneur podcast and the Podcast Reporter podcast (just some of the current active 8 shows).

As you will hear in this audio episode, Doug discusses the potential mistakes of content creators in the world of New Media and podcasting. He also discovers some of the strategies for entrepreneurs to make podcasting a successful tool as part of their marketing. They can do this by generating revenue streams by adding podcasting to their marketing.

 We thank Doug for his interview and we know it will provide value to the aspiring entrepreneurs who deal with content creation as both screencasters and podcasters.

07- Lon Naylor investigates pre-released Podcasting Platform Audello

In this renewed interest (we call it a “second boom”) of Podcasting, many content creators are acquiring the skills to leverage their portfolios and include podcasts into their mix.

Lon Naylor, who is known as “The Learn Camtasia Guy”, and who also has key web sites of ScreencastStudios.com and ScreencastProfits.com,  is also pursuing a direction to teach the screencast community about podcasting — especially with what appears to be an exciting platform to make podcasting simple and easy (although it is still in pre-release stage at the time of this post). The platform is Audello, and it is discussed and demonstrated (as much as can be) by Lon in this video clip that is being repurposed from his premium Learn Camtasia weekly coaching call program. For more information and to see the video clip, you can go to the links given, below.

Lon Naylor- mobile video strategies for screencastersAs you will hear in this 12-minute podcast episode, the AUDIO to the video clip is included, which has Lon discussing the SKILLS IN SCREENCASTS AND PODCASTS podcast and program with Fred Castaneda (the host of The Struggling Entrepreneur and Podcast Reporter audio podcasts). The audio episode also highlights how you can understand the importance and excitement of this new platform, especially if you are a screencaster.

04- Opportunities for Screencasters and Podcasters – with Lon Naylor

We deliver an interview with Lon Naylor, known to many as “Mr. Learn Camtasia.” He is a professional content creator, with specialties in video and screencasting — especially with PowerPoint(R) and Camtasia Studio(R).

In this episode, Lon and Fred discuss the benefits, the value, the opportunities and the possibilities of monetization when New Media entrepreneurs gain the skills in both podcasting and screencasting. They even go into the environment for mobile apps.

Lon Naylor - success in screencastingAs you will hear in this audio episode, Lon describes the benefit of ‘repurposing your content’ — especially since the audio portion of your content creation has been done. Fred goes into the benefits of creating additional revenue streams and ultimately creating a mobile app derived from your current delivered in either a podcast or screencast.

In continuing with Lon Naylor’s practice of providing free and helpful resources, we will be delivering to you with each episode a tip, a hint, a brief tutorial that can help the screencaster and podcaster in the pursuit of gaining the additional skills needed to increase their portfolio, and therefore grow their audience in a new channel and platform.

02- Podcasting for Screencasters

Lon Naylor from ScreencastStudios.com and LearnCamtasia.com delivers a tutorial and deconstruction of how an audio podcast of 13 minutes can be the basis in creating a screencast, with interesting visual story-telling and a call-to-action. He took a portion of an online webinar to help explain the benefits of podcasting to screencasters in this deconstruction, and he explains some of the tools and templates that he used or created to make this happen.

Although this is an audio podcast episode, you can go to the screencast and visual tutorial at:

http://www.learncamtasia.com/podcasts/podcasting-screencasters/

As you will hear in this audio episode, Lon Naylor’s deconstruction shows how a plan with a simple template and consistency can deliver a screencast that can meet the overall objectives of a call-to-action:

– a template created in PowerPoint(R);

– consistent typestyle, typeface, font and color schemes;

– consistent visual layout, including a single graphic image and a single phrase for each of the nine elements of the presentation;

– bulleted lists can be used for lists, as they are “dissolved” in; and

– simple, non-exaggerated animations (i.e., slow fly-ins and move-ins) can add to the visual engagement with the viewer and listener.
