21- Announcing the Academy of Podcasters Awards and Hall of Fame

In this episode of Skills in Screencasts and Podcasts, we deliver a repurposed interview as an audio episode. Our interview is with Gary Leland (current publisher of Podertainment Magazine), in which we discuss the announcement of the Academy of Podcasters Awards and the Hall of Fame.

For Screencasters, there has been some dialogue with key pundits for this space about a separate Awards ceremony and a possible Hall of Fame, as well. Perhaps there are some lessons learned from the initiation of this Program that can be helpful for them, as well.

What follow is the repurposing of the episode originally published at the Podcast Reporter podcast show.

In this episode, we interview Gary Leland, who describes the information and details about the newly-announced program called The Academy of Podcaster Awards and the Hall of Fame.

Academy of Podcaster Awards siteThis program will hold its first recognition event of these awards and the inductees of the Hall of Fame on the first day of the Podcast Movement Conference on 31 July 2015 at Fort Worth, Texas at the Omni Hotel.

Announcement siteAs you will hear in this episode, Gary discusses how the program came about and the objectives of the awards, as well as the information about the Board, the Academy members and the eligibility for the awards and the Hall of Fame recognition.

Since this is the first year of this program, there will be room to grow and improve in the coming years.

Our thanks to Gary Leland for making a vision of these types of merited awards come true since his idea back in 2006.

About Gary Leland

19- Key factors for successsful screencast videos- from Lon Naylor

This episode is the audio narration of the first ScreencastPro promotion video. The video is narrated by Lon Naylor. And so we have repurposed the audio in this episode for you.

Camtasia-Marketing-video-Report However, Lon Naylor does more than promote…

Lon EDUCATES us by describing vital facts about promotion, marketing, selling and gaining repeat business from your loyal fans (not just one-time customers). He describes WHY and HOW getting skills in screencasting can benefit your business — especially if you are an entrepreneur and/or Internet Marketer.

But Lon does much more than that. He also describes the subtleties of marketing and promotion using screencasts. Instead of SELLING, you can actually help other people to buy, so that they can address their problems and/or concerns. And Lon shows you how screencasts can be a good tool for you to do this with his tool.

Selling-and-buying marketing facts

As you will hear in this audio episode, he speaks at various intervals about the video (which he assumes you are consuming), with the link to the video and a report that you can download.

The video link for both watching and consuming the 14-minute video — as well as getting the report downloaded to you — is given, below. And it is free.

However, when you listen to the audio episode, you can get the gist of what Lon describes as the difficulty of selling and the opportunity to benefit from providing solutions and making yourself someone that is known, trusted and liked by potential (and returning) customers.

To view the video in entirety, as well as download the free report mentioned in the audio episode, please visit this link:

http://www.screencastpro.co/profits/

We will also have the content of the next 2 videos as episodes in this series of Skills In Screencasts and Podcasts.
